With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of a truly wonderful man, Gaetano Farina, who peacefully left us at the age of 94. Gaetano is now reunited with his loving parents, Pombeo and Gacinta Farina. He was a devoted husband to Carolina Farina, with whom he spent over 68 wonderful years. As a caring father, he leaves behind Onorio (Anne) Farina, Valerio Farina, Maria Farina, and Gina (Jurgen) Kuehfuss. He was adored as “Nini” (grandfather) by Jeramiah Farina, Zachariah Farina, Dominique Le Blanc, Noah Kuehfuss, Ryan Kuehfuss, Jacob Farina, and Dylan Farina.
Gaetano proudly belonged to the Ciociaro Club for many years. You could often find him volunteering or enjoying a game of scopa or briscola there. He took great joy in traditional Italian customs such as tending to his garden, making wine, and sharing meals and stories with family. Everyone who knew and loved Gaetano will miss him dearly and hold him in fond memory.
Visitation will be at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519-253-7235) on Thursday March 26th, 2026 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will take place in the chapel on Friday March 27th, 2026 at 9:30am followed by entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
