LACHANCE – Edward Henry

Edward passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 9, 2025, at the age of 88. He was the son of Alfred and Grace (née Mc Norton) Lachance and the son-in-law of Regis and Alice (née Marchand) Tetreault. Edward was a devoted husband for 65 years to Janet (née Tetreault). He was a loving father to Mitchell (Theresa), Bradley (Karen), Brenda Fletcher (Brian), and Kelson (Edyta). He took great pride in being “Pepe” to Michael, Lauren, Lyndsey, Danielle, Brittni, Brooke, and Mathew. He was also a dear “Great-Pepe” to Eleanor.

Edward had a special bond with his brother Ron (Judy) Lachance. He was also a caring brother-in-law to Cecile Lachance (Fred), Cecile Lachance (Don), Doris Pillon (Rosaire), and Edmund Tetreault (Joanne). He is predeceased by brothers Alfred, Donald, and half-brother Harvey Bouffard; sisters Dorothy Renaud, Elaine Gignac (Norm), Shirley Lachance, Doris Cushman (Jim), and brother-in-law Paul Tetreault. Edward was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews and had many friends.

For many years, Edward worked as an accountant at Green Giant and proudly held membership in the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario. He was an active member of St. Anne Parish and an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. Nicholas Point Council #4375. Always thinking about others, Edward dedicated much of his free time volunteering at the Lakeshore Food Bank.

Visitation will occur at the WINDSOR CHAPEL Funeral Home (Banwell Chapel), located at 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 3-5 p. m. and again from 7-9 p. m. The visitation will continue on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at St. Anne Parish at 12233 Tecumseh Rd. E., starting at 10:30 a. m., leading up to the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a. m. Interment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery.

In keeping with Edward’s spirit of giving back to the community he loved so much, the family encourages attendees to bring canned goods or pantry items for donation to the Lakeshore Food Bank in his honor. Monetary donations are also welcomed.

Online condolences and treasured memories can be shared with his family at www. windsorchapel. com
