We are sad to announce that Dave Daley, a loving father and friend to many, passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 85 in Windsor, Ontario. Dave was born on January 28, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan. He was the son of Thomas “Frank” Daley and Dorothy (née Maesenich) Daley (later McGrath). He leaves behind his children: John (grandchild Blake), David and Lynn (grandchildren Keira, Rachel, Michael, and great-grandchild Walter), Judy (grandchildren Zoë, Sarah, Hannah, and Kaia), Steve and Irene (grandchildren Emma and Max). He cared for them all deeply. Dave lived a full life. He worked hard and built strong friendships. He served in the U.S. Air Force and held various jobs including pastor, fuel man, baker, and car salesman. Each job showed different parts of who he was. Dave enjoyed motorcycles, cars, woodworking, sports, baking and especially helping others. People were drawn to his kindness and honesty. Wherever he went, he made a lasting impression. A Reception to Celebrate Dave’s life will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home at 11677 Tecumseh Rd E in Windsor on Friday October 17 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to remember Dave in your thoughts and prayers. If you wish to share a story or memory about him that would mean a lot.
