Bora Apostolovski, a woman of great strength, kindness, and compassion, passed away peacefully in her sleep to be with our Lord on January 21, 2026.
Bora’s life was filled with adventure and love. She was born in Vratnica, Macedonia, before moving to Aachen, Germany. There she met Jovo, the love of her life. Their journey brought them to Windsor, Ontario, where they created a wonderful life together and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
During her time at Magna International, Bora wasn’t just recognized for her dedication; she also formed genuine friendships that lasted throughout her career. She earned deep respect from both management and coworkers alike, many of whom became like family.
After retiring, Bora enjoyed the simple pleasures of life wholeheartedly. Whether she was caring for her garden, going for long walks, or having coffee and shopping with friends, she always wore a warm smile. She loved playing cards and found joy in being surrounded by family-and of course, her beloved dog Bailey.
Bora will be remembered for her gentle yet strong spirit. She was the neighbor who always reached out first and the friend who was always ready to lend a hand. Her family felt fortunate to have such a loving heart at its center. The love she spread and her quiet strength touched everyone lucky enough to know her.
She leaves behind a family that cherished her: her devoted husband Jovo; sons Ivica and Dejan; daughter-in-law Ana; and grandchildren Olivia and Ashton who were truly the light of her life. Bora also had five loving sisters: Zora; late Menka; Ubavka; late Koca; and Slavanka-along with an extensive circle of extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her father Slave and mother Milica.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at Tayfour Rehab and the Palliative Care Unit at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare for the outstanding care they provided Bora during this time.
Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – BANWELL CHAPEL, 11677 Tecumseh Rd E (519-253-7235), on Monday, January 26, 2026 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Prayers will take place at 7:30 pm.
