It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Betty Elaine (Joyce) Le Clair, announce her passing on December 25, 2025.

Betty was born on June 27, 1940, and grew up in New Glasgow, Pictou County. She was the daughter of the late Jennie and Frank Joyce.

She worked as an engineer for Bell Aliant until she retired. Betty had many hobbies; she enjoyed working with stained glass, painting, and traveling. She also loved training her dogs and participating in dog shows. Making jewelry was another passion of hers; she frequently went to farmers markets to showcase her creations and loved seeing people appreciate them just as much as she did.

Betty was a kind-hearted woman who touched many lives and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by her nephew, Shane Wadden.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Jennie Joyce; sister, Myrna Wadden; and her husband, David Le Clair.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to her cousin, Paula Rogers; longtime friend, Donnie Boudreau; the staff at Glen Haven Manor; and caregivers Tresea Roy, Cindy Roy, Michelle Read, and Sylvia Mallory for their support.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Eagles Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 31 from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm with a memorial service following at 2:00 pm from Eagles Funeral Home Chapel in Westville.
