On Friday, March 20, 2026, Antonio passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Giovanna De Zorzi (née Sovran) for 62 years. Devoted father of Dante (Janet), Alissa (Ken), and Jamie (Manon). Cherished Nonno of Jack and Grace Howe, and Anthony, Dominic, and Isabelle De Zorzi. Antonio is predeceased by his parents, Dante and Regina De Zorzi from San Martino al Tagliamento, Italy. Dear brother of Alessandro (deceased) and Maria De Zorzi, and Luigi (deceased) and Ancilla De Zorzi. Brother‐in‐law to Mary Rose and John Ward, Gabriella Hobbis, and predeceased by George and Bertha Sovran. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Antonio was a hardworking family man with determination. He was a loyal friend who always made time to help others whenever he could. Known as the unofficial contractor for his children’s homes, he took great pride in overseeing projects and fixing anything that needed attention. His commitment to his family and friends was unwavering. A lifelong construction worker, Antonio could turn a simple car ride into a guided tour of the city’s history. He proudly pointed out the buildings he helped construct while sharing stories that highlighted the impact he had on the community he called home. Those who stepped into his home experienced warmth and generosity. Depending on the season, entering his backyard felt like visiting a farmers’ market. His fruit trees and large garden were his pride and joy; he spent countless hours tending to them. Visitors rarely left without a basket full of freshly picked produce from his garden. Antonio also cherished the years spent with his hunting group; their annual trips brought him joy, camaraderie, and adventure. His self-taught skills in taxidermy showed how determined he was to learn new things. He was a proud member of the Fogolar Furlan Club of Windsor where he joined fellow members in supporting their community efforts. Antonio instilled in his children and grandchildren a deep pride in their Italian heritage. Antonio will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
