Katherine Paige Mc Mahon, 55 years old, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a long and brave fight with cancer. She was the loving wife of Ron and a proud mother to John (Tera), Meaghan (Nate), and Greg. She was the dear daughter of John (who predeceased her) and Glad Sylvestri, a beloved sister to Lia, Jen (Ivo Campanelli), and her favorite nephew Michael (Smith). Katherine was also the daughter-in-law of Bob & Helen Mc Mahon (who predeceased her) and will be deeply missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Katherine’s life revolved around her family. She loved gardening, enjoyed cooking, had great taste, and had a unique talent for making the ordinary beautiful. In her last weeks, she faced what was ahead with courage. She accepted her situation and found peace within herself. True to the warrior she always was, she showed amazing strength until the end. Her faith in God and the angels she believed were looking out for her provided comfort as she approached her final journey with a calm heart knowing that she wouldn’t be alone and that her dad would be there waiting.

Katherine’s spirit was one of a kind; her presence lifted those around her in so many ways. There are special people who remain in our hearts forever even when they are no longer with us-Katherine was one of those individuals. The ones we love don’t leave us; they walk beside us every day-unseen and unheard but always close. Always loved, always missed.

A memorial service will be held at the R. J. Barnard Chapel in Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home at 233 Larch Street in Sudbury on Friday, September 4th, 2026 at 11:30 AM. Friends can gather starting at 11 AM.

Cremation will take place at Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shirley and Jim Fielding Cancer Center would be appreciated.
