June 16, 1990 ~ June 21, 2026

With great sorrow, the family shares that Cody has passed away peacefully at home in Orillia, Ontario, surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the age of 36.

Cody was the dear son of Laurie Grant and stepfather Rob, as well as John Kerr and stepmother Tina. He was a loving brother to Nathaniel, Katrina (Jesse), Makayla (partner Zach), brother John Jr. (Dawn) Kerr, stepbrother Mat Lutz (Emily), stepsisters Melissa Kennedy (Max), Chrissy Lutz, Elizabeth (Johannes), Emily (Rob), and stepbrother Ethan (partner Jodi).

Cody took pride in being a caring uncle to Makenna, Hillary, Lorelei, Wilhelmina, Beatrix, Xander, Archie, and Andrew.

He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his aunts Sue Hurley, Bonnie (Bev) Picard, Deb Lovatt, and Brenda (Bob) Lea; his uncle Rob (Sheila) Kerr; his cousin Shelley Hurley; along with many other cousins, nieces, nephews, good friends, and his Special Olympics family.

Cody had a special connection with Sylas, Maverick and Bane as well as Zadey whose friendship brought him happiness over the years.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Dialysis Unit for their outstanding care and kindness shown to Cody throughout his life.

Arrangements are being handled by Mundell Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Cody will take place at Emmanuel Baptist Church located at 300 Coldwater Road West in Orillia on July 18th. Family and friends are invited from 1:00 PM until the service starts at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow in the church’s lower level.

If you wish to honor Cody’s memory further donations can be made to Special Olympics Ontario or another charity close to your heart. The family would greatly appreciate these acts of kindness. Messages of condolence can be left at www. mundellfuneralhome. com

“I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7

Forever loved , forever remembered , forever in our hearts.
