Jan. 31, 1951-Jan. 6, 2026
Joseph Paul Molly passed away in the early hours of Jan. 6 at St. Joe’s Hospital.
From a young age, Joe dreamed of being a truck driver, and he pursued that career throughout his life until a heart attack at age 53 led to his retirement.
He was fortunate enough to enjoy an additional 21 years thanks to several heart surgeries and the excellent care from Dr. Frank Nigro, whom Joe always praised.
Sadly, the passing of his wife Wendy in 2022 after nearly half a century together ultimately took a toll on his health.
In his younger days, you could find Joe at baseball games; later on, he enjoyed spending time at bingo halls and casinos after hanging up his glove for good. He had a knack for telling jokes and loved sharing laughs over an occasional cold beer. Watching Joe and Wendy dance to “Delilah” by Tom Jones was something special to witness.
Joe is predeceased by his wife Wendy, parents Frank and Della Molly, in-laws George and Hilda Leroux, and brother-in-law Geoff Todd.
He is survived by son Ryan, grandsons Brennen and twins Easton and Austin, sisters Kathie Tolmie, Judy Robinson (Harold), Charlotte Prokopetz (Chris Karam), along with nephews, nieces, and sister-in-law Valerie Todd.
Cremation has taken place as per Joe’s wishes; there will be no service. Online condolences can be sent to Harbourview Funeral Centre. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
We’ll meet you at the gate Joe.
