October 6th, 1941 – December 24th, 2025

With heavy hearts, the family of Clarice May Wideman (née Robbins) shares the news of her unexpected passing on December 24th, 2025.

Born in Port Arthur and raised in Blake Township, Clarice met her soulmate Marvin at a dance. They married on November 5th, 1960, and recently celebrated their 65 years together. They started their journey in the “Little House” on Murphy Avenue before settling into their home in Rosslyn, where they spent 63 wonderful years raising their four children: Shawn, Dale, Scott, and Crystal.

Clarice was a dedicated homemaker and loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She maintained a large vegetable garden and devoted countless hours to canning, freezing produce, making jams, baking treats, and cooking meals. She even raised roosters that would amusingly chase her during feeding time.

Her life truly revolved around her family. Summer weekends were often spent at camp on Cloud Lake where she delighted in watching her children play and visiting with her dad who lived nearby. Ice cream sundaes and country drives with Marvin were favorites for them both. Friends frequently gathered at their home or met up for coffee dates.

As a grandmother and great-grandmother, she cherished every moment. She happily baked chocolate chip cookies to satisfy their endless cravings while teaching them math skills, card games, knitting techniques, and baking secrets. Most importantly though was the joy of spending time together-even if it meant watching Y& R with them. Always putting others first without complaints or expectations for anything in return was part of who she was. Hugs were her signature way of showing love; no one left her house without one.

Clarice is survived by her loving husband Marvin; children Shawn (Cheryl), Dale (Mary), Scott (Tracey), and Crystal (Leonard); along with ten grandchildren: Shannon, Amanda (Jeff), Shawn Jr. (Alexa), Ryan, Justin (Carina), Robyn (Ryan), Troy (Jasmine), Shelby (Jerry), Devon (Taylor), and Kerri (Lyndon); plus eleven great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by parents Delbert and Julia Robbins; brother James Robbins; sister Alma Kempe with brother-in-law Bill Kempe; sister-in-law Beatrice Wideman; nephews Dean Wideman and Bernie Goliboski Jr.; as well as mother-in-law Hilda Wideman and father-in-law Arthur Wideman.

Clarice leaves behind brothers Alan Robbins and Lloyd Robbins; sisters Gale Bloye and Irene Goliboski with brother-in-law Raynold Wideman; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A celebration of life will take place at the Nor Wester Hotel and Conference Centre on Saturday January 17th ,2026 from 1:00 p. m. to4:00 p. m.
