Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident Near Mississauga-Oakville Border

Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident Near Mississauga-Oakville Border

Peel police report that a pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run incident close to the Mississauga-Oakville border.

On Tuesday around 6 p. m., officers arrived at the scene after receiving a call about an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near Winston Churchill Boulevard and Dundas Street West.

Despite the efforts of police, paramedics, and fire services, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities state that the driver of a dark-colored pick-up truck fled the scene and is still at large. While roads were temporarily closed, they have since been reopened.

Detectives are urging the driver to seek legal advice and come forward to police.
