The individual who was fatally shot outside a restaurant in Burlington, Ontario, was a long-time member of the Hells Angels motorcycle club.

Halton Regional Police have identified 55-year-old Craig Mc Ilquham, also known as Craig Brown from Oakville, as the victim. He was attacked by unidentified gunmen in the parking lot of the Mandarin Restaurant on Fairview Street late Tuesday night (April 29).

At the time, he had been enjoying a meal with family members inside the restaurant.

Mc Ilquham had a history with law enforcement and was known to be involved in organized crime, having faced multiple arrests throughout his life on various charges.

Most recently, he was among 30 individuals detained during an investigation into illegal gambling and money laundering activities. Those charges were never substantiated in court and many were dropped.

Authorities have stated that Mc Ilquham was specifically targeted by his attackers but have not disclosed any information about a motive for this incident.
