In each Town of Oakville ward, residents are represented by a town councillor as well as a town and regional councillor.
Residents must elect both unless a candidate is acclaimed.

Occupation I’m a flight attendant with a major Canadian airline.
Do you live in the ward? Yes. I reside in Bronte with my husband and daughter. I have been living in Ward 1, specifically in Bronte Village and Lakeshore Woods, for almost 20 years.
Previous political experience I’m a first-time candidate. My background comes from two decades working in a highly regulated industry where listening, sound judgment, teamwork, and accountability matter. This experience has taught me to make decisions under pressure and find common ground with others.
If elected what will your priorities be?
My main focuses are ensuring livability, enhancing community connections, and creating more opportunities for active lifestyles.
Ward 1 is undergoing significant growth and construction. I will push for better coordination among projects, clearer communication with residents, and practical steps to minimize the impact on local businesses and daily life.
I’ll work to advance the approved Bronte Waterfront Strategy and Streetscape Plan towards completion through realistic short-, medium-, and long-term goals. These include increasing year-round activities at the waterfront by completing a skating loop at Bronte Heritage Park, for example.
I will also advocate for establishing a library and community hub in Bronte that provides residents of all ages a welcoming space to learn, connect, and engage with community programs.
I plan to collaborate with residents, town staff, and regional partners to find practical solutions regarding e-scooters, e-bikes, and excessive vehicle noise-issues that municipalities across Ontario are currently addressing.
I’ll ensure accessibility is at the forefront of every project I support-from sidewalks and trails to parks and public spaces. I’ll team up with community organizations, local businesses, and other levels of government to secure funding when needed while moving these priorities forward responsibly.

No; I’m currently situated within Ward five having grown up here since age six. I’ve got deep roots firmly planted inside this beautiful Bronite Community! Moving away after college (like many young locals), yet returned once again during my thirties. Earlier this year my wife temporarily moved into nearby Ward five preparing ourselves ahead before buying our first home together- but we still plan on relocating back once ready! Family ties, career commitments, community connections-they’re all very much anchored right here-and it’s where we’ll establish our future together! Having spent nearly thirty years residing across various wards throughout Oakville-including most recently four years back living near Bronte Harbour-I feel deeply connected here.
