Kim Mitchell is set to headline at Kerrfest.

This weekend, two iconic figures from the Canadian music scene will perform at an annual community festival.

Kerrfest kicks off tomorrow, Sept. 5, at Westwood Park in Oakville and runs until Sunday, Sept. 7.

The first two days will showcase live musical acts with Mitchell taking the stage on Friday, followed by the Jim Cuddy Band on Saturday. Both performances start at 9:30 p. m. During the day, local food vendors and booths from nearby businesses will be available.

Festival hours are from 5:30 p. m. until after the concert on Friday; and from noon until after the concert on Saturday.

Other musical acts throughout the weekend include Spoons, The Box, Tianna Woods, The Lightfoot Band, Andrew Irving, Rawlins Cross, and Bill Durst.

On Sunday, Kerrfest focuses on families and kids starting at 11 a. m., featuring activities like Crash Rhythm and appearances by the Roaming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Gabby’s Cat-Tastic Dance Party, Mystic Drumz, and music by the DNAs.

Brampton Batman will also show up on Sunday along with his batmobile as well as face painting and other fun activities for kids.

There is an entry fee to access the park located at Kerr Street and Bond Street.
