A 32-year-old woman from Ottawa is dead after a collision on Freeway 401 close to Dixie Highway Thursday in Mississauga, Ont., provincial police say.

In line with a information launch from Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers responded to a collision involving a automobile and a pedestrian on the eastbound collectors’ lanes at roughly 6:10 a.m.

The automobile concerned failed to stay on scene, the OPP mentioned in a put up to social media Thursday afternoon. Provincial police are asking anybody with data to contact them.

There aren’t any different reported accidents, OPP and Peel paramedics say.

All eastbound collectors’ lanes have been closed on account of the crash, however reopened round 11:30 a.m., Ontario Provincial Police mentioned on social media.

The reason for the crash stays unclear. Provincial police say the investigation is ongoing.
