Travellers planning to fly out of Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga on Monday are being inspired by airport officers to verify the standing of their flight beforehand as a de-icing backlog may trigger delays.

Officers at Canada’s largest and busiest airport, which homes the most important centralized de-icing facility of any airport on this planet, mentioned climate is the wrongdoer behind the backup of plane ready to be prepped for takeoff.

“Snowfall this morning has resulted in backlog of aircraft passing through our central de-icing facility,” Pearson officers mentioned in a put up to social media on Monday morning. “Crews are continuing to clear the snow. However, it may take some time to catch up and get aircraft moving.”

With delays doable, officers urge travellers headed to Pearson to verify the standing of their flights forward of time.
