A driver has been taken to the hospital following a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in Scarborough on Monday afternoon.

Toronto police received calls about the incident at Ellesmere Road and Dolly Varden Boulevard just after 3:10 p. m.

One of the drivers was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities have not confirmed whether the injured individual was riding the motorcycle or driving the vehicle.

Ellesmere was closed between Markham Road and Dolly Varden, but it has since reopened.
