York Regional Police are on the lookout for a suspect connected to an attempted murder linked to a road rage incident from June 2025.
On June 21, 2025, police got several calls about an assault occurring in a parking lot near Yonge Street and May Avenue in Richmond Hill, Ont.
When officers arrived, they found a male victim with stab wounds. The police report that the injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
The responding officers discovered that the victim had previously been involved in a road rage confrontation with another man who then left the scene.

According to police, the man later returned with two other individuals and they all allegedly attacked the victim. During this attack, the victim was stabbed. Story continues below One suspect was arrested at the scene while the other two escaped. The YRP reported that after a “lengthy” investigation, a second suspect was charged on May 31. More on Crime More videos The police are now searching for the third suspect. He is wanted for attempted murder and aggravated assault. The individual has been identified as 30-year-old Seyed-Houman Mirmoghtadaei. “He is encouraged to seek legal advice and turn himself in,” police say in a news release. “Investigators are reminding the public that anyone providing assistance to him may be subject to criminal charges.” Hamid-Reza Safi-Poor, 54, of Toronto and Ali Kia, 59, of Markham have both been charged with attempting to commit murder, aggravated assault and uttering threats. Kia faces an additional charge of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
