The North London Optimist Community Centre can be found at 1345 Cheapside Street. 

Parking at North London Optimist Community Centre is free. Check London Public Transit for information on public transit locations, times, and fees. For general inquiries about recreation programs or to reserve a space, call 519-661-5575 or email recreation@london. ca. To reach facility staff, call 519-661-5198. 

Indoor Retro Roller Skating

Looking for some fun with the family or a great date night? Join us for our weekly indoor retro roller skating sessions! The North London Optimist Community Centre hosts the following weekly retro roller skating sessions:

18+ session: Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7:45 p. m. and 8 to 9:30 p. m. All ages session: Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 2:30 p. m. and 2:45 to 4:15 p. m. Fridays from 6:15 p. m. to 7:45 p. m. and 8 to 9:30 p. m. Please note that the last Friday of each month from September to June is hosted by the North London Optimist Club from 7 p. m. to 10 p. m. Admissions and roller skate rentals can be purchased with cash or EFT at the door only.

Racquet Passes

Racquet passes are available for tennis and squash players who plan on playing at least 23 times a year and want affordable rates for court bookings. Those holding racquet passes pay an initial fee and enjoy reduced court booking costs throughout the year at North London Optimist Community Centre.

Amenities

The North London Optimist Community Centre is a versatile sports and recreation venue offering several unique indoor sports facilities and activities, including London’s only roller skating program, along with indoor tennis courts and squash courts.

NLOCC also boasts multiple clean, spacious meeting rooms with kitchenettes available for rental; plus a large arena-style gymnasium perfect for indoor soccer, roller skating, ball hockey, inline hockey, and more. NLOCC offers various programs like drop-in roller skating sessions as well as being home to the Huff N’ Puff Senior Fitness Association and the North London Optimist Club. We also welcome private events such as bridal showers, baby showers, registration sessions, staff meetings, and birthday parties.

We have three indoor tennis courts available for rental on either a drop-in basis or through pre-booking methods. Courts must be booked in minimum one-hour increments on the half-hour up to two hours maximum per session per player per day; bookings are accepted five days in advance down to the minute level-no refunds on bookings will be provided.

You’ll find two indoor squash courts available either via drop-in visits or by reservation ahead of time-these courts are booked in forty-five-minute slots which you can arrange five days beforehand down to exact minutes; there’s also a maximum playtime of135minutes allowed per player daily-all bookings must be paid upfront without refunds offered.
