Work has started on various enhancements at Thames Park, with construction set to continue throughout the summer and wrap up by spring 2027.
The City of London announced that the project will introduce four new pickleball courts, a nature-themed splash pad, and a nature-themed playground, along with additional tables, benches, and a unique leaf-shaped shade structure.
This initiative also includes planting over 30 trees and improving the park’s parking lot and pathways. Existing tennis courts, community gardens, pathways, walkways, and open green spaces will stay open and accessible during the construction period.
The planned upgrades come after two years of gathering input from park users and local residents. The city expressed gratitude to community members who shared their thoughts during this process as it helped shape the final design.
When finished, these improvements aim to broaden recreational options for residents while enhancing amenities for families and visitors alike.
