Local non-profit groups can now apply for funding to support capital projects through the 2026 City of London Community Grants Program. Applications for these grants, which can be used for building, renovations, or buying land and facilities, are due by March 18 at noon.

To assist applicants, the city is hosting a virtual information session on Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. No registration is needed; interested participants can join by heading to london. ca/Community Grants just before the webinar starts. A pre-recorded informational video will also be available online.

Organizations can schedule 30-minute consultation meetings with city staff to go over applications and get advice.

This year, the city has allocated $250,000 for capital projects, with individual grants limited to $50,000 to encourage widespread participation. The program aims to help organizations expand their programs and services that directly benefit residents of London by improving access to facilities and resources.

“These grants are essential for local not-for-profit organizations to enhance existing facilities and services, allowing them to continue making a meaningful difference across our city,” said Mayor Josh Morgan. “London is home to innovators dedicated to strengthening our city and elevating the well-being of residents, and we remain committed to backing initiatives that create a stronger London and broaden access to opportunities for everyone.”

Eligible capital projects include construction work, purchasing land or buildings, and renovations that increase program or service space. Applications should align with the city’s strategic plan while demonstrating community need, cost-effectiveness and contributions toward quality of life.
