Hear from our employees

Shayne, Communications Operator

“Throughout my years with the City, I have had the opportunity to learn and develop a wide range of skills, from emergency communications to operating a Zamboni. I have also been able to explore various roles within the corporation, benefiting from numerous opportunities for professional growth, training programs, and hands-on experience. My favorite part of working for the City of London is collaborating with incredible colleagues and serving this wonderful community every day.”

Raven, Planner

“I’m Raven and I’ve been employed with the City of London for 9 months! I started as a Student Planner and am now a Planner on the Subdivisions Planning Team in Planning and Development. I’ve found that as an employer, the City of London does a great job fostering growth and I’ve really appreciated the opportunities I’ve had to learn, all while being involved in the London community! Being able to do a job that relates back to the City and those who live here, while also having a chance to grow in my career, has been incredible!”

Mike, Manager, Development Engineering (Subdivisions)

“Throughout my career at the City, I have progressed to my current position as the Manager of Subdivision Engineering in Planning and Development where I manage a team of professionals in facilitating engineering related approvals for new subdivisions. I have especially enjoyed being part of the growth of the City and take great satisfaction knowing my work assists in providing new homes for residents, allowing Londoners to move safely throughout the City, providing residents with access to clean drinking water and protecting the natural environment.

Working for the City of London has allowed me to develop and progress in my career as well as enjoy my life outside of work and spend more time with my family.”
