The closure for traffic moving between St. Jacobs and Elmira has been lifted.

On Wednesday morning, shortly after 7 a. m., traffic spotters noted a crash involving a transport truck on Arthur Street South near Scotch Line Road just south of Elmira.

Waterloo regional police soon confirmed that the major road was closed between Scotch Line and Listowel Road due to the incident.

A representative from the police stated that the collision involved a transport truck that “turned over,” blocking both northbound and southbound lanes on Arthur Street South. There were reports of minor injuries.

Arthur Street South reopened just before 11 a. m. on Wednesday.
