A suspect has been taken into custody following a robbery at a business in Kitchener early on Dec. 22.
According to WRPS, officers were dispatched to the area of Westforest Trail and Highland Road West around 4:30 a. m.
During their investigation, police revealed that the suspect entered the establishment and reportedly threatened a victim with a spray canister while demanding items.
The individual then made their escape on a dark-colored e-scooter.
Later that morning, at approximately 10:50 a. m., authorities arrested a 39-year-old man from Kitchener. He is linked to six robberies in Kitchener and Waterloo.
A search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence that evening, leading to the recovery of stolen goods.
The suspect was held for a bail hearing.
