A man from Cambridge lost his life in a collision on Sunday afternoon just east of the city.
The Ontario Provincial Police reported that they received the call around 5:40, leading officers to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Highway 8.
The incident took place near Lynden Road, situated between Sheffield and Rockton.
Officers from the Burlington OPP detachment discovered a 27-year-old man from Cambridge deceased at the scene.
A 69-year-old man from Hamilton was transported to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
Authorities did not clarify if either of the men were driving.
The vehicles involved were described only as “passenger vehicles.”
The investigation is ongoing, and OPP traffic investigators are looking for anyone who might have information about what occurred, particularly anyone with dash cam footage from that area at the time of the crash.
