According to Environment Canada, extremely cold wind chills are anticipated overnight and into Monday, with values ranging from -25 to -30 degrees Celsius.

“Extreme cold puts everyone at risk,” Environment Canada advised, warning that “risks are greater for young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter.”

Temperatures are expected to warm up by Tuesday afternoon.
