Arrests Made in Connection with Hamilton Robbery

A police probe into a shooting and robbery near Hamilton, which happened just over two years ago, has resulted in the arrest of three young individuals from Peel.

According to Hamilton Police, these arrests took place recently concerning the March 3, 2024 shooting and vehicle theft at Concession Road 6 East and Centre Road in Flamborough, located about 15 kilometers north of Hamilton.

Police reported that two victims were present to sell vape pens when they were robbed of their belongings and vehicle shortly after arriving.

During the incident, one individual fired a single shot from a gun, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The stolen vehicle was found shortly afterward in Peel, as per police information.

Further investigation led to the apprehension of three suspects hailing from Peel. Authorities did not specify whether the suspects are from Mississauga or Brampton.

Two individuals aged 18 and one aged 19 face charges that include:

Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm. Possession of property obtained by crime (two counts). Robbery with a firearm (two counts). Theft of motor vehicle. Reckless discharge of a firearm.

At the time when the shooting and car theft occurred, all three accused were considered youths under the law. Thus, they cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
