Driver charged in hit-and-run dying of Guelph bike owner seems in courtroom

John Simpson-Bard, no relation to sufferer Susan Bard, is accused of a success and run that killed a bike owner in early September

A Guelph man charged within the hit-and-run dying of a bike owner a month in the past, and later charged with impaired driving in a separate incident, has been recognized.

John Simpson-Bard, who’s at present in custody, appeared in bail courtroom on the Ontario Court docket of Justice in Guelph Thursday in relation to the fees.

The 35-year-old man just isn’t associated to the hit-and-run sufferer, Susan Bard.

Police say the lady continued to hinder the investigation by offering false info, even after the suspected “true driver” was situated.

That driver, who police say was Simpson-Bard, was out on an endeavor with the situation he not be within the driver’s seat of any car.

A drug recognition knowledgeable decided his skill to function a car was impaired.

Simpson-Bard was charged with impaired driving, harmful driving, failing to cease on the scene of a collision and breaching an endeavor.

The lady, 29, was charged with obstructing police.

Simpson-Bard has a bail listening to scheduled for subsequent Wednesday for every of the charges.
