A fire started at a Costco in Burlington on Sunday morning.

Burlington Fire responded to calls about a compactor fire at the back of the Costco store on Brant Street around 11 a. m.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), user Graham Paine reported that firefighters were on site with smoke visible and flames coming from the compactor area.

It’s said that light smoke entered the store and sprinklers went off.

The building was cleared out as firefighters worked to get to the compactor and control the fire.

No word yet on whether anyone got hurt, and investigators are looking into what caused the fire.
