A fire started at a Costco in Burlington on Sunday morning.
Burlington Fire responded to reports of a fire in the compactor area behind the store on Brant Street around 11 a. m.
According to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by user Graham Paine, firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the compactor section.
Light smoke reportedly made its way into the store, prompting the activation of sprinklers.
The building was evacuated while firefighters worked to get to the compactor and control the situation.

It’s not clear if anyone was hurt, and officials are looking into what caused the fire.
