The City of Burlington, Ont. continues to push against the building of new homes on the Millcroft Golf Course site.
According to CHCH News, construction is already in progress with many trees being cut down to clear space for 90 new homes. The city is appealing to the province for intervention to halt development and stop any further work on other sections of the golf course property.
The city is requesting that the Ontario government issue a ministerial zoning order to prevent any additional redevelopment.
In 2024, the Ontario Land Tribunal gave approval for the redevelopment of specific areas within the course.
