Burlington firefighters managed to save lots of a household pet after fireplace broke out within the basement of a Strathcona neighbourhood residence on Rankin Drive yesterday.
Burlington Hearth Division battled the fireplace on Rankin Drive, simply south of Regal Highway within the New Road and Walkers Line space round 7 Saturday night (Aug. 3). Upon arrival to the indifferent residence, smoke was displaying, and crews encountered heavy black smoke upon entry. They situated the fireplace within the basement.
No person was residence on the time, however a cat was unaccounted for. After a number of searches on all ranges of the house, they had been ready find the cat.
