Two men were hurt during a fight that resulted in a shooting in Brampton.
Peel police received calls about the shooting near Central Park Drive and Glenvale Boulevard just before noon.
The two victims later arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Their injuries are considered serious.
Authorities report that there is no known threat to public safety, but they are advising residents to steer clear of the area while the investigation is ongoing.
No suspect information has been released so far.
Mauricio Martinez, a nearby resident, told City News he heard three shots earlier today.
“It’s terrifying because I live right there and there’s a shot right next to my house …. one of them could have gone through my window, one of them could have injured one of my family members,” said Martinez. “I fear for my safety and for …. everybody that who lives in this area. I know a lot of good people here.”
