Brampton Man Arrested After $30,000 in Stolen Goods Found

Peel Police Recover $30,000 in Stolen Property in Retail Theft Investigation

Region of Peel – Officers from 12 Division have taken a Brampton man into custody following a string of thefts at major retail stores.

On Monday, March 9, after a three-month investigation into retail theft and distribution, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Brampton and recovered the following items:

300 bottles of alcohol 100 bricks of butter 91 tubs of Ghee

The total value of the recovered items is around $30,000.

This led to the arrest of 48-year-old Pintu Gohil, who has been charged with:

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2

Gohil has been released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on April 7.

The total value of the recovered items is around $30,000. In 2025, almost 7,500 retail thefts were reported to Peel Regional Police  From 2024-2025, there was a six percent decrease in retail thefts.
