Ontario shuts down Peel Driving Faculty

A Brampton driving faculty has been completely closed by the province of Ontario, Ministry of Transportation spokeswoman Dakota Brasier confirmed to trucknews.com.

Native media first reported the closure of Peel Driving Faculty areas in Brampton and Guelph, Ont. Each are listed on the MTO’s checklist of revoked driving faculties.

The Brampton handle was shared with Peel Truck Driving Faculty, however MTO doesn’t oversee the operations of truck driving faculties. The Ministry of Faculties and Universities is chargeable for trucking faculties.

“The Ontario government has zero tolerance for bad actors on our roads and in our driver’s licensing and training systems. That’s why we’re protecting Ontario by reviewing and improving driver education, training, and licensing,” Brasier mentioned in an announcement supplied to trucknews.com.

The Truck Coaching Colleges Affiliation of Ontario (TTSAO) shortly introduced Peel Truck Driving Faculty is now not a member.

“Peel Truck Driving School is no longer a member of TTSAO. This development reflects the current challenges facing truck training, with many schools potentially at risk in this environment,” TTSAO president Philip Fletcher posted on LinkedIn.
