Did you know that your Brampton Library card gives you access to more than just books, like free hockey tickets?
Alongside books, movies, and games, Brampton Library branches offer a “Library of Things” for cardholders. You can borrow items such as bird watching equipment, telescope kits, seasonal activity sets, and even Go Pro cameras.
The Brampton Library is also handing out a limited number of tickets for an upcoming Brampton Steelheads game for cardholders wanting to catch some OHL action.
“Show us your Library card, or let us make one for you, to redeem vouchers for Friday’s game,” the Brampton Library states regarding the Steelheads’ home game on Oct. 23 against the Brantford Bulldogs.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no limit on how many vouchers one library cardholder can get “while supplies last,” according to the library.
To grab a voucher, head over to any Brampton Library branch and ask a staff member about the Brampton Steelheads hockey tickets. After that, take your vouchers to the CAA box office on Friday between 6 and 7 p. m. to exchange them for gold tickets donated by the team’s sponsors.
Brampton Library card holders can also obtain free passes to visit the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto and the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) in Brampton.
ROM Passes are offered at all Brampton Library branches on a first-come, first-served basis. They are valid for four guests during regular public hours but do not include blackout dates. Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
You can reserve passes to PAMA via the library’s online catalogue.
