In a major development, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have taken down an alleged drug trafficking operation involving fentanyl that stretched from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to Calgary, Alberta. This effort, called Project OLLIE, led to the confiscation of $2.3 million worth of suspected fentanyl at a location on Albright Road in Brampton, Ontario. With charges filed against four people and a Canada-wide warrant out for a fifth individual, this situation sheds light on the ongoing fight against illegal drug trade in our communities. The OPP’s actions highlight how crucial cross-provincial collaboration is to address these serious offenses.
