One individual sustained life-threatening injuries during an assault in Caledon earlier this week.

Emergency services were called to the scene outside a business close to the intersection of King Street West and Queen Street North in the Bolton area just after 8 p. m. on Aug. 24, according to Ontario Provincial Police.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police reported. No further details about the victim have been shared.

OPP stated that officers were able to identify and apprehend a suspect shortly afterward.

Oleh Milchenko, 32, from Etobicoke, is facing charges of aggravated assault.

The suspect remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville.

At the time of the incident, many witnesses were present in the area. The OPP are asking any witnesses who haven’t yet come forward to speak with them.
