In the past 31 days, there have been 172 break-and-enters reported in Mississauga and Brampton.
Peel Regional Police data shows that these incidents occurred between Dec. 17 and Jan. 17.
Mississauga experienced most of the break-ins, with 115 incidents, while Brampton had 57.

79 homes, eight apartments, two residential garages or sheds, four more apartments, two restaurants, two construction sites, 21 stores and four offices; nine were categorized as “other,” while 41 were listed as “unidentified” businesses.

As of Saturday, investigations are ongoing for the majority of these cases; currently, 160 remain open, seven have been resolved and five are still unsolved.
