A car was found at the bottom of a construction pit after it fell about 11 metres on Wednesday evening at a site located at 53 Coulter Street in Barrie.

Barrie police report that a 27-year-old woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries after the vehicle she was in dropped into a hole at a construction area.
This property is situated at 53 Coulter Street, behind the Bayfield Mall.
In an update given Thursday morning, police informed Barrie 360 that the construction site seemed to be clearly marked, complete with a surrounding metal fence.
They do not suspect alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
The investigation is still ongoing.

A fire official told Barrie 360 that crews arrived around 7:19 p. m. to the location at 53 Coulter Street, which is behind the Bayfield Mall.
The woman was taken to the hospital. Her condition remains unknown.
The hole has fencing around it but there was an opening where the vehicle went through, which was later cordoned off with yellow tape.
The fire official confirmed that police are managing the investigation into this incident.
A large tow truck was called in to remove the vehicle.
A new building with 12 stories and 188 apartments is being constructed at this site.
