Nationwide Hockey League alumni hit the ice in Simcoe County on Friday for the third annual Collingwood Superstar Hockey Traditional.
The occasion held on the Eddie Bush Area affords the chance for hockey fans to play alongside some NHL greats for trigger, elevating funds for Easter Seals Ontario.
Easter Seals helps present important and costly gear for kids residing with disabilities and affords respite for his or her households.
“We’ve raised almost $140,000, but when you think about it, that’s only four wheelchairs. The cost of raising a child with disabilities is so high that we have to do events like this. We have to support the families,” stated Charlene Myke, Easter Seals growth supervisor.
Hockey professionals attending the occasion embrace Wendel Clark, Shayne Corson, Andre Roy, Mike Krushelnyski, Rick Vaive, Brad Might and Dave Ellett.
