On Friday, bones were found in the vicinity of Berczy Street and Penetang Street, as reported by Barrie Police, which is close to downtown.
“At this point, it is too early to determine if they are human remains,” police said in a social media post.
Authorities state that they will maintain a presence in the area while the investigation unfolds and will share more information when available.
