Have your say about future plans for the waterfront in Barrie’s new survey.
Barrie workers and councilors need to hear from residents about the way forward for the downtown and waterfront in mild of the Southshore, Barrie Sports activities and a Revitalized Downtown report penned by Marshall Inexperienced.
On August 14, Inexperienced offered a report back to Barrie metropolis council with suggestions from varied teams and organizations, summarizing their place to assist information the waterfront and downtown imaginative and prescient.
On the request of council, Mayor Alex Nuttall issued a Mayoral Course August 15 to Barrie’s CAO and workers to pause motion on Council’s movement 24-G-111 to permit for public session.
Marshall Inexperienced’s report outlines a number of suggestions, and metropolis council needs to listen to the general public’s opinion. The survey closes September 25.
Along with the net survey, an in-person drop-in session will happen September 24, from 4 p.m. to eight p.m. on the Common John Hayter Southshore Centre.
On the drop-in session, workers will ask residents for suggestions on the identical questions from the net survey.
All suggestions might be offered to council in a report on Oct. 9.
