A man from Hamilton has admitted to drugging and sexually assaulting seven women, in a case where he recorded his actions and shared the videos online.

Bryan Hayward, 37, appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice before Justice Michael Wendl on June 11. The identities of the victims are protected under a standard publication ban.

In a statement agreed upon, he confessed to assaulting the women as far back as 2018. He also acknowledged attempting to contact one of the women while he was incarcerated in 2025, which violated a court order.

In May 2025, Hamilton police arrested and charged Hayward following an investigation by W5 into a group of men who secretly drugged and filmed their intimate partners.

Met women through various means

The agreed facts presented in court revealed that Hayward encountered the women at school, within his community, and on different dating apps and websites.

In one instance involving a woman, it was “clear” that Hayward had drugged her multiple times and sexually assaulted “her unconscious body in various ways and with several different items.”

The court learned that he would repeatedly drug one woman he lived with by covering her mouth with a cloth, even after she asked him to stop.

While living in an apartment on King William Street, Hayward set up a homemade pulley system to bind and position one woman in various ways so he could assault her using sex toys and household items. Women were unconscious during filming The agreed facts indicated that many of Hayward’s videos showed women who were clearly unconscious or asleep; some were snoring. In some recordings, women could be heard expressing pain or pleading for him to stop or saying no.

“‘Don’t worry, you’re not going to remember this,'” he was heard responding in one instance, according to the statement.

In another video, a woman struggles against him while crying until he covers her mouth with a cloth causing her to pass out or fall asleep. He then continues having sex with her.

Hayward didn’t use protection during these encounters recorded on video.

Using a username associated with date-rape drugs, Hayward uploaded several videos of his offenses on the website Motherless; the court heard this information.

He paid $10 per month for premium membership access; his account had 22 uploads viewed around 144,000 times total.

The titles and tags referenced various drugs used for sedation along with themes related to “ragdoll” fetishes. Court hears about dark fantasies</h2

Court documents revealed that Hayward confided in someone about having fantasies related to drugging and raping individuals. He even texted someone about keeping chloroform stored away in his closet. One victim reported him</h2

A woman whom Hayward assaulted visited the hospital in 2024 after her employer noted she seemed intoxicated the next day. She informed hospital staff that her boyfriend-Hayward-had said he’d given her cold medicine.

The hospital recorded that she had sedatives present in her system without consent based on agreed facts.

In another case, police found an intoxicated woman outside his downtown apartment who claimed he had drugged her; she showed officers photos of straps found on her bed while describing what happened.

Hayward argued she was drunk instead denied any existence of straps while refusing entry into his apartment.

“Due to her heavily intoxicated state [and] their inability to move the investigation forward meaningfully at that time,” stated agreement records detailing how police relied solely upon Mr. Hayward’s sober word during this interaction leading them unable pursue further investigations then.”

Judge reviews video evidence

An hour-long compilation featuring footage created by Hayward was played during court proceedings; only audio streamed online so observers couldn’t see images themselves.Lawyers mentioned victims received prior notice regarding this development while some intended leave early once playback began. As such judge expressed understanding adding,”I’d rather not watch it myself but I have no choice.”
