A young man, just 24 years old, has died after a single-vehicle accident on Highway 412 in Whitby.
The fatal incident occurred early Sunday morning on a ramp leading to Highway 412.
According to Ontario provincial police, emergency responders were called to the scene shortly after 4 a. m. regarding a collision involving one passenger vehicle.

In their news release, police confirmed that the passenger was taken to a nearby hospital but was later declared dead.
The driver sustained serious injuries and was also hospitalized.
Authorities have not shared any details about what may have caused the accident.
