Authorities reported that an autopsy was conducted on May 15 to confirm the identity of the teen. His family has been informed, according to police.
Webb-Long was last seen leaving his home in Brampton, Ontario on March 27, 2025. His mother told Peel police that she had communicated with him via Instagram, but all contact ceased on May 16.
Saskatchewan RCMP shared in a news release on Sept. 5, 2025 that Webb-Long had been residing in Pelican Narrows around the time he went missing.
Peel police mentioned that Pelican Narrows RCMP visited an address where he was thought to be staying; however, the home and surrounding area had been evacuated due to wildfires nearby. A complete evacuation order for the community was issued on May 27.
At the time he left his home, Peel police noted that Webb-Long was considered vulnerable and both law enforcement and his family were worried about his safety.
