Authorities report that one of the individuals involved in a deadly shooting that took place in Vaughan, Ont., back in January has been taken into custody last week.
York Regional Police stated that officers discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the intersection of Winges and Rowntree Dairy roads on January 26.
The injured man was rushed to a hospital but unfortunately did not survive his injuries.
According to police, a 19-year-old suspect hailing from Mississauga was apprehended on Thursday in Moosonee, a town located in northern Ontario. He faces charges of first-degree murder and arson.
Authorities are still searching for another suspect, also 19 years old, from Edmonton. This individual is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for murder and arson.
This same suspect is linked to a fatal shooting outside a shopping centre in Toronto that occurred on February 7.
