A 37-year-old man from London, Ont., is currently in police custody facing charges related to the sexual assault of three girls.
The investigation began on April 10 after law enforcement received reports of assaults involving two young girls. Authorities discovered that two days prior, the man had used electronic communication to reach out to the girls and arranged for them to come to his home in the east part of the city, police stated. He allegedly provided drugs and alcohol before sexually assaulting them.
The suspect was identified and arrested on April 13. As the investigation progressed, officers found a third victim, leading to additional charges. There are concerns that there might be more victims who have yet to come forward.
The known victims reported incidents of inappropriate sexual contact, with one girl indicating that she had been choked during an assault.
The accused faces these charges:
Sexual assault. Sexual assault with choking. Sexual interference with a person under age 16. Sexual exploitation of a young person. Telecommunication with a person under or believed under 16 years for specific criminal offences. Telecommunication with a person under or believed under 18 for specific criminal offences.
