An informed source shared with Tasnim that Iran holds no positive expectations regarding the United States. The exchange of messages via the Pakistani mediator is ongoing, but it reflects a general pessimism toward the US government.
The source pointed out that a final agreement has yet to be established, and disagreements over specific clauses still persist. Even if an initial agreement is made, it doesn’t alter Iran’s perception of the US or its trust in this government’s ability to fulfill its commitments, he added.
The source emphasized that the Americans have a poor track record in negotiations, which only deepens the sense of pessimism.
Thus, even if an agreement is reached, Iran will keep a close eye on US actions after the understanding is announced. If the US fails to uphold its commitments at that point, Iran will retain its leverage to address any violations.
