Steve Lassetter OBITUARY

Steve Lassetter, 66, from San Antonio Heights, passed away on November 22, 2016 when the small plane he was piloting crashed near the San Antonio Dam in San Antonio Heights. He was born on October 22, 1950 in Dallas, Texas and had been living in San Antonio Heights since 2004. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and an MBA from the University of Dallas. Throughout his career in the business aviation sector, he held various roles including air charter services, aircraft management, and FBO management. From 1998 to 2000, he served as Chief Operating Officer at the Hong Kong Business Aviation Center and later retired after being President of Sun Air Jets in Camarillo, CA. Steve was actively involved with Rotary International; he was President of the Camarillo Breakfast Rotary Club and served on the Board of Directors for the Upland Rotary Club. A private pilot for most of his adult life, he was working towards getting his commercial pilot’s license with plans to become a flight instructor. He is survived by his wife Suellen, his mother Gloria Lassetter from Dallas, TX, his sister Nancy Lassetter from Vail, CO, and his beloved dog Bone Daddy. He was preceded in death by his father Roger Lassetter, sister Tracey Lassetter, and brother Scott Lassetter. A celebration of his life is set to take place sometime in January.
